Citizen Science Project
The project that I did for the fall semester was a worm watching activity. The activity entailed such gripping events as watching a worm slowly move on the screen while hovering my finger over the z-key in case it laid an egg (as I was told to press “Z” if it laid a new egg in the video). I chose this project because, come on, this thing sounds pretty interesting; there were all these activities, and this one only said, “Hey, wanna look at worms? You just need to know that they are worms, and nothing more.” It felt pretty fulfilling to do my part in telling researchers that absolutely nothing interesting happens in an interval of time adding up to ten minutes.
